This a article written by me.Its A must read article for every
Responsible citizen who thinks about reservation. !!
It was the time two, three
decades ago.
History says something like this.
When the Human’s first started to
live united within certain area (which Later became villages),
Different people chose different
professions to make there bread and butter according to their skills.
Latter, according to the
profession all these humans were sorted out to be of different castes and
Cultures.
There were different classes of
the castes out of which only certain castes had some rights and rests
Had not.
These rights were about getting
education, going to village temples and some more ones. Even at the time educating
a girl was a big crime.
As like the time, the main source
for everyone’s income was AGRICULTURE..(That is why in 21st century INDIA is
still called land of farms..)..Only few from the higher class families chose to
be educated.
Even those who were educated, for
them there was no competition to be selected for any government offices, For
any MNC company ,For any election or neither for a government firm...There was
no competition at all for the life.
I agree that the challenges at
the time were too tough to live life but they were certainly not like today.
The people who suffered these casts valleys were not certainly as much as those
who are suffering today.
Today, when the population turned
out to be in billions (1.2 Billion) ,
Today when making a meal at one
time is like winning a war,
Today when admitting your child
to LKG is like extreme happiness. at such a time we are fighting for
RESERVATION.
I agree that people of some
classes never could go to schools.
But my question is , at that
times was there anything called "COMPETITION" ?Was the question of
making meal at a time was that serious???
Please don’t misunderstand me, I
am not against the reservation but am against of what the reservation is
for..!!
It is so obvious that anybody
from open category today can show anger over reservation. This is because of
following reasons.
1. All of our government companies,
schools, colleges, institutes, universities, and offices work on reservation
basis.
A student from category with just
40% of the target marks can get admission in to the top most institutes with at
max 50000 or 60000 Rs.
Whereas for an open candidate for
securing a seat in same institute he needs more that 90% of the target marks
that too with full fees.
2. Even at a point the
reservation up to school and college level are ok but it further continues to
all government companies and all public sectors. In public sectors category
candidates can get there seat for almost any post with minimum qualification
but it is too tough for securing it for a open candidate.
3. Even in politics, they have
reserved seats for becoming a "SARPANCH"...
I repeat "I am not against
the reservation but am against of what the reservation is for..!!"
At a maturity level, being a
responsible citizen of INDIA, I agree that if there would not have been
Reservation system most of the
people those are educated today, they would not have got there education. So thanks
to reservation that it helped in making my Indian people literate .
But my question is "HOW LONG THESE PEOPLE WANT THEMSELVES TO BE RESERVED???"
I know, nobody wants to answer
this question….even those people who called themselves the leaders of backward classes,
they too don’t want to answer this. Because the reason is they are used to be excused,
they are used to RESERVED .!!
Now, let us think about the other
side.
We all love INDIA. We all respect
it from our hearts.
We all want it to be the
superpower in 2020 as like other countries.
But if we return back and see our
society, i don’t think it is possible this soon.
All our government companies
including Nuclear power plants, other power plants, irrigation offices, RTO offices,
Nagar parishads, corporations and many other important companies are reserved
for those who are backward .But instead, they should be reserved for those who
are talented, hard workers and poor.
If talented people will be first preferred
in these offices am sure that making a superpower won’t be a big deal.
If the ultimate aim of reservation
is to pull out all the poor people from their places, my question is who said
that those who are in open category are all almighty lords by their birth.
Please get this point that open category also has thousands of poor candidates.
And if educating the people and
giving poor people opportunity is the aim then I would rather say that keep the
reservation everywhere on the basis of TALENT of the candidate
Keeping the TALENT AND POVERTY
BASED RESERVATION will at least help in placing the right person at the right
position.
Talent based reservation will
lead to innovation and poverty based reservation will lead to fill the gap
between the rich and poor people of society.
By this reservation all poor
people from all classes of society will get the opportunity.
One point is damn clear that i
never wanted reservation for me because i am able to stand on my own legs and don’t
want to be excused by anyone.
At last i want to say that if
reservation is helping people to improve their lives it is also making to
Starve some really talented
lives. Reservation is making people dependent and lazy. It is making people to believe
blindly that they are being excused by the government....
Is RESERVATION the ultimate solution ?
